The Process

  • Rough Staking- This is the process necessary to identify exactly where a building will be placed. It will determine what has to be moved in order to be able to build the desired building. Placing stakes around the area will make rough staking more obvious.
  • Clearing- In this stage we have to decide where to but all of the debris we removed from the ground like vegetation or tree roots go.
  • Excavation- Making holes by digging or removing earth carefully in order to build something. Buildings that have basements have to be excavated. In this stage we will have to use heavy equipment like a bulldozer or backhoe.
  • Rough Grading- In this stage we take some of the material that was removed during excavation gets added back around the building. This helps make sure that drainage works correctly.
  • Erosion Control- The last stage of the process is to make sure and prevent the learned plot of land’s soil from washing away into nearby properties.
